Nonstop rock
The Dirty Dancing Crowes churned through “Shake Your Money Maker” with dedicated and pointed enthusiasm, delivering exactly what was promised. They played non-stop for 1:45, and closed with Zeppelin’s “Hey Hey, What can I Do?” as an encore. They sounded great, loud, and on track to continue well beyond the 30 years since SYMM came out. As a die-hard fan like me, I was hoping for the usual deep cuts they’re known for - but that was not the plan for this tour. If you’re a casual fan - this tour is cathartic and hopeful. The ‘hits’ they promised were mostly from “The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion”, with a couple others from “By Your Side”.
